Students go to “la Soute”, some 50 km SW from Strasbourg, on a site where boreholes are available for practical training. On site they practice Vertical Seismic Profiles, borehole radar imaging, electrical conductivity and temperature logs, electrical borehole imaging, stress measurement and hydraulic testing in boreholes.
Three days are spent in the field for collecting data and three days are spent in the lab for data interpretation.
