Interviewing Techniques
Master Sciences de la Terre et des planètes, environnementParcours Continental Water Sustainability (ouverture à la rentrée 2026-2027)

Description

The way an interview is planned, conducted, and how its outcomes are analyzed has a significant impact on the quality and reliability of the results (e.g., depending on factors such as timing, location, and the social group being interviewed). This course introduces students to the methodological and practical aspects of conducting interviews in order to obtain the most representative and valid responses possible.

In addition to traditional face-to-face interviews, alternative techniques—such as density assessment, online questionnaires, and the use of social media—will be discussed and compared. Through practical exercises, students will also develop skills in applying basic statistical methods to evaluate and present interview data effectively.
