Description

Each hydrosystem is characterized by its specific environmental conditions and a corresponding set of typical ecological impacts and social challenges. Through the analysis of case studies (e.g., EU LIFE projects), students examine how to identify these recurring issues and associate them with appropriate solution-oriented measures.

The course includes the development of a catalogue of key actions and approaches, integrating both “green” and “grey” engineering strategies. Emphasis is placed on understanding how these approaches can complement rather than oppose each other, particularly in the context of climate change and heavily modified ecosystems.
