Interaction between magmatism, inheritance and deformation in a continental passive margin around the Mozambique Channel

Objectives:

This study aims to better constrain when, where and how magma is formed during and after the formation of a rift system and how the structural, compositional and thermal inheritance may control the evolution of a rift system. In this context, the margins along the Mozambique Channel represents a perfect example where the influence of inheritance on the structural and magmatic evolution of a margin can be investigated.
