Research interests

Characterization of Ocean-Continent Transitions at magma-poor rifted margins (nature of the basement, deformation phases, faults architecture and organization, magmatic distribution, sedimentary architectures).

Processes of evolution leading to the initiation of steady-state oceanic spreading (faults evolution and interaction with magmatism and fluids, migration of the deformation, mantle exhumation, hydrothermalism, lithospheric breakup).

Comparison with mid-oceanic ridges and field analogs.

Current Postdoctoral research project (May 2016 - February 2018)

Understand the temporal evolution at rifted margins: Organization of the deformation in the domain of exhumed mantle and proto-oceanic domain; Role/nature of intra-basement decollement level (relationship between serpentinization process, hydrothermal circulation, magmatism and faults); Numerical modeling of final margin evolution (collaboration with modelers); Transition with the first oceanic crust (tectonic vs magmatic processes).
