In magma-poor rifted margins : present-day (Iberia-Newfoundland margin) and fossil (Platta, Swiss):

  • Timing of metasomatism (rodingitization, serpentinization) vs. magmatic activity.
  • Nature of magma through time and space between the crustal and lithospheric break-up.

Scientific cruise

VESPA (Volcanic Evolution of South Pacific Arcs) May-June 2015 : This cruise will test specific hypothesis of the age, polarity and evolution of Cretaceous-Miocene volcanic arcs between New-Caledonia and New-Zealand by sampling (dredging) the Norfolk and Loyalty-Three Kings ridges.
