Description du contenu de l'enseignement

One of the tasks any research project contains is a bibliographic review, and such review are ususally required at many stages of any project or scientific writing assignment.

After a lecture on the basics of how to carry out a bibliographic review, you will be able to try your hand at combining information from various sources, first in small-scale exercises, then by performing a 'state of the art' review for your research project.

Students will be required to hand in their 'state of the art' review for evaluation.

Compétences à acquérir

By the end of this part of the course, students will be able to
  • identify what plagiarism is;
  • combine information from multiple sources into seamless text, without the risk of plagiarism;
  • cite their sources correctly.
